Lumino the Dentists, New Zealand’s only dental group offering quality dental care nationwide has opened its first Christchurch based practice with the acquisition of Lincoln Dental.

Shayne Richardson, lead dentist at Lincoln Dental says: ‘We chose to join the Lumino group as it is a reputable, recognised company. Everyone we consulted spoke very highly of them.

‘This is definitely a positive change. Lumino offers a huge amount of corporate support, and provides assistance with such things as KiwiSaver and employment law. I feel like a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders.’

Lincoln Dental was purchased by husband and wife team, Karen Richardson, who manages the practice, and Shayne Richardson in 2003. Since then the couple have added four purpose built surgeries to the practice and have taken on an additional dentist. This means that they can see more patients and keep their waiting list as short as possible.

Shayne is also trained in CEREC technology, a computer assisted restoration product that enables the dentist to prepare such items as porcelain crowns and veneers in just one appointment.
