Palmerston North’s Lumino The Dentists Cosmetic Dental Care has had a complete makeover. The new look is part of the successful practice’s integration into the Lumino network, which offers the  widest choice of preventative, restorative and cosmetic dental treatments in New Zealand. Lumino The Dentists Cosmetic Dental Care offers a range of treatments including whitening, porcelain veneers, crowns and white fillings.

New colours, signage and an updated logo are all part of the rebranding initiative from Lumino The Dentists, New Zealand’s only national dental healthcare group trusted to care for more New Zealanders’ oral health than any other provider.

Franco Dal Din, lead dentist at Lumino’s Cosmetic Care clinic in Palmerston North says: ‘The new colours and signage are great but the most exciting improvements are the new treatments we have become involved with. We have started using the CEREC system which makes the restoration of teeth extremely fast and easy. It allows us to take an optical scan of the tooth and create a porcelain crown in 10-15 minutes within the practice. It’s just brilliant technology. Our clients love it because they don’t have to come back to have their crown fitted weeks later and they get the added benefit of a bit of down-time in the middle of their treatment.’

‘Some of the locals were a bit surprised when they saw the new signage as they did not know we were part of the Lumino group,’ Franco adds. ‘But I always explain all it means is more choice for them at the end of the day.’

As part of the increasing demand for quality dental services in Palmerston North, Cosmetic Dental Care has recently added a new dentist to their team. Claire Watson moved from the United Kingdom for the role and brings twenty years experience to the practice.

Claire who has a special interest in cosmetic surgery says: ‘I love it when the patient leaves the practice in floods of tears because their smile has just been transformed; it’s the most rewarding reaction to receive as a dentist. We get that quite a lot here at Cosmetic Dental Care,’ she says.

Claire too, is a great supporter of the CEREC system: ‘I get very excited about CEREC, it provides an amazing fit with crowns and veneers. We are one of the only two practices who offer the service in Palmerston North, so the demand has been very high,’ she adds.

Lumino The Dentists is New Zealand’s largest dental healthcare organisation containing 39 practices with 120 dentists and over 250 support staff nation-wide. Lumino employs many leading international and Kiwi dentists including Allen Baker who was responsible for transforming smiles on the popular television series, Ten Years Younger.

Franco has been very happy since Cosmetic Dental Care joined Lumino in 2005:  ‘It was definitely the right decision. It has made my life much easier, it’s like I’ve got a team of supporters in Auckland who deal with all the business hassle leaving us to concentrate on the dentistry.’
